Welcome to the New First Data^® Specifications Portal

Welcome to the First Data Specifications Web site. In this Web site, you will find specifications documents to support our First Data merchant customers. This newly designed site replaces FDMS.com and contains all of the pertinent merchant information on how to program a Point-of-Sale system to communicate with the First Data transaction processing platforms. In addition, this new site also includes specifications documents for First Data Prepaid Services which help merchants and their POS vendors code to and become certified for gift card processing with the First Data Prepaid Services Closed Loop Gift Card Program. We have combined these two repositories into one site to make it easier and more efficient for our merchant customers to access the specifications documents you require.

You will need to be registered and logged-in to access the specifications documents. Please click on the "Register" button below to complete the registration form.

When filling out the form:

• In the registration form, please indicate in the 'Comments' section the category in which you will need access (Merchant or Prepaid Services).
• Your User ID will be your business email address
• You will receive your ID via email (should be almost immediate). This email will provide access to Public documents.
